Information The Shelburne County Archives and Genealogical Society is your resource for research in Shelburne County. Whether you're tracing your family history or just interested in this history rich part of Nova Scotia the Society has a huge collection of records to help you in your quest.

If you can't come in person our researchers can help you, contact us and we can provide information on the type of records we have and a quotation for doing the research remotely.

The Society also has an active membership engaged in publishing various books and other materials that tell the story of Shelburne County and the people who established the communities in the area.

The Town of Shelburne has the largest number of pre-1800 buildings for a town its size in North America and our list of Heritage Buildings is impressive.
