Description & Services

Information
The South Shore Chorale is first and foremost a four part non-auditioned (soprano, alto, tenor, bass) community choir, encompassing age groups from teens through to senior citizens. It has reached a high level of excellence over more than 40 years in the largely, but not solely, classical tradition under dedicated and talented directors and accompanists.

The binding elements are a common love of singing, a willingness to learn how to make beautiful music, a commitment of two hours a week to rehearsal and a total of at least four performances in Bridgewater and other locations on the South Shore. Two performances are at Christmas and two/three in the spring. The Chorale has also performed in the past at the Bridgewater Festival in April.

The South Shore Chorale are the recipients of a certificate and award from the Federation of Music Festivals of Nova Scotia as winners of the City of Lincoln award.
further information can be found on the South Shore Chorale Facebook page.
Eligibility The South Shore Chorale presently has two sessions: one in the Fall from September to December and a Winter/Spring session from January to May. New members are accepted during the first three weeks of rehearsals at either of our sessions.

Singers interested in joining the South Shore Chorale are encouraged to contact the Chair Person before attending rehearsal.
